List building service is a type of program that allows you to email a specific number of people every week depending on your level of subscription or the number of referrals under you. You do not have to worry about being reported as a spam when you email different people every week because these people are people like you who have agreed to join this program and receive emails from other affiliate marketers as well.

The list building service works in two ways:

1) You can pay a monthly subscription fee and you get to send an email to a number of different people either once or twice depending on your subscription level.

2) You can sign up for free but you have to refer people to join under you so that you can get to increase the number of different people you can email to every week. The more people you refer, the bigger your matrix and the more people you can reach.

If you are using this method of traffic generation, try not to send emails that direct people to the merchant page. Instead you should setup a squeeze page and you direct people through your emails to your squeeze page to sign up to your list so that you can continue to promote them other related products in the future.

Mind that the conversion rate of this method is not high, I have done several tracking on this method and found that you will only get about 3 - 4 opt-in leads for every mailing to 200 people. If you want to increase the number of opt-in, you simply need to subscribe to higher plan or make more referrals.

The bad side about this list building service is the number of emails you will receive every day from other marketers as well. Although they is a limit to a maximum of 12 - 15 mails a day from other marketers, it can easily fill up your in box within days. Therefore I suggest you to set up another Yahoo mail or gmail address especially for these list building programs.
